JR40163: ERROR HAPPENS WHEN SELECTING PROJECT ON SELECT ITEMS DIALOG.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer did the following steps on DataStage Designer,
  
  1. click [Export] - [DataStage Components...] from the menu.
  2. select Add on Repository Export
       ===> Select Items is displayed.
  3. click project name (top of the tree)
       ===> project name is set to Item name
  4. click [OK] button
  
  
  Then they got the following error message on a dialog:

Local fix

• If customer selects the project by another step (repository tree
  -> Select the project node -> Right click -> export), error does
  not happen.
  

Problem summary

• When adding items to export in the Component Export Dialog,
  selecting the top-level project node in the browser gave an
  unexpected error.
  
  The problem only affects Windows platform.
  

Problem conclusion

• Apply patch JR40163
  

Temporary fix

• If customer selects the project by another step (repository tree
  
  -> Select the project node -> Right click -> export), error does
  not happen.

• This fix is included in 8.7 GA and later.
