Error description

  • SybaseOC sometimes generates undesired select statements and
    commit statements after every record.
Description: SybaseOC sometimes generates commit statements
irrespective of the transaction size for every record leading to
    performance issues.
It also sometimes generates undesired select statements even
when the job is not designed to read from sybase databases.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Due to garbage values present in a uninitialized variable being
evaluated at run time the logic is affected and thus commit
statements are happening for every record instead of looking for
transaction size property. Similarly unnecessary select
statements are also being generated leading to performance
    problems and logic problems.

Problem conclusion

  • After the installation of current fix the stage will not
generate any unnecessary select or commit statements.
