APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• DataStage jobs that include a Tranformer stage along with a
  Netezza stage in the same job design hang after the
  installation of Fix Pack 1 on Windows platforms.
  
  The issue exhibits itself after the job has apparently finished
  since a Director Monitor View shows that all stages in the job
  have indeed finished but the final status for the job still
  showsas Running. In addition, one osh process will consume the
  resources for a single CPU core until the job is stopped.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Parallel jobs that use the Netezza stage show a status of
  Running even though the job has finished. This is caused by
  problems in the shutdown of osh.exe.
  

Problem conclusion

• The osh executable was looping when using return(result) to
  exit. The code was changed to use _exit(result) and we were then
  able to run the previously hanging job multiple times without
  any failures.
