APAR status

Error description

  • Import of "Cobol File definitions" using DataStage Designer:
PIC 9(4) is generated without 'unsigned' attribute
({zoned, default=0} instead of {default=0, zoned, unsigned} )

Local fix

  • Workaround
After import the Cobol File Definition into table definition
open the table definition from DataStage Designer, and then
change MainFrame Access type from "QSAM_SEQ_FLAT" to
"QSAM_SEQ_COMPLEX" in the Genral tab.
After changing the MainFrame Access type proprty then load the
table definition or drag-and-drop it into CFF stage the
column definition will be loaded correctly.
