JR39574: Information Server 8.5 gets error on Resource Tracker Starup.

IBM InfoSphere Information Server, Version 8.5 Fix Pack 2

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• customer restarts DataStage by the following steps, but it fails
  intermittently. (This happened on April 8th and May 2nd)
  
  (1) stop DataStage (ds_stop.sh)
  (2) stop ASB Agent (asb_stop.sh)
  (3) stop MetadataServer (mds_stop.sh)
  (4) stop DB2 (inst_stop.sh)
  (5) start DB2 (inst_start.sh)
  (6) start MetadataServer (mds_start.sh)
  (7) start ASB Agent (asb_start.sh)
  (8) start DataStage (ds_start.sh)
  
  And I received some logs. From the log, I can see that it fails
  the check of resource_tracker after the following Internal Error
  and it seems that DataStage is not restarted.

  I think resource_tracker is not mandatory to run DataStage, but
  I don't know the cause of the error:

Local fix

Problem summary

• The resource tracker randomly throws error TUXX-00002  when it
  starts up .
  

Problem conclusion

• The tracker code used an unitialized variable which caused the
  error.
