  Information Analyzer 8.5 Fix Pack 1 users.
  
  ****************************************************************
  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  Some users of Information Analyzer 8.5 Fix Pack 1 could
  encounter one or
   more of the following issues due to a threading problem
    1.  Analysis and Data quality jobs fail with Connection
  failure on port
        2809.
    2.  When a file is "Added" in "Identify Flat File->Display
  Flat Files",
        a FileIOException is thrown, and the logs indicate a JACC
        Authorization error.
    3.  Blank screen while closing View Data Sample until Data
  Sources
        are displayed. Sometimes, orbtrc exception files are
  created in the
        Information Analyzer client directory.
    4.  Data rule execution details and exception tables are not
  displayed
        and logs indicate a null session id.
    5.  Unable to add the same rule definition more than once to a
  rule set
        definition. Session Exceptions in the log.
    6.  Data Store, Schema Not Populating on Generate Schema
  Definition for
        Generating a PDR.
    7.  Import of a project fails with a message indicating that
  the file
        is invalid, and logs indicate a Null session Id.
    8.  CORBA exception in client log when trying to associate a
  Term to a
        column in View Analysis Summary Details.
    9.  In "Identify Flat File", removing a previously imported
  file from
        the "Select File to Import" list produces an Application
  Error
        indicating an IO Exception.
    10. Saving a new Transformation value in the Frequency
  Distribution
        tab of "Open Column Analysis", produces a Service Access
  Exception
        A login exception indicates CORBA COMM_FAILURE.
    11. IA client hangs on clicking refresh button in rule
  definition
        creation screen.
    12. Orbtrc file is generated in the client directory on
  closing out of
        View Sample from Data sources palette, in various Data
  rules views,
        and Global Logical variables view.
    13. While creating reference tables, exceptions are seen in
  the orbtrc
        file related to null session IDs.
    14. Exception while viewing rule set execution details.
    15. When 'Enable drill down security' is unchecked and then
  rechecked,
        an orbtrc file containing an Exception is created.
    16. Orbtrc file is created during Drill down operations in
  "Open
        Column Analysis".
    17. Clicking on View in Business Glossary button produces an
        EntryPointInstantiationException and a  CORBA exception.
    18. Accessing the Metadata Import view, or expanding a Data
  Store
        hierarchy is slow.
    19. In Run Column Analysis screen, in the Connections
  configuration
        grid, if DB2 connector is selected and a database source
  provided
        but username and password are left blank, then clicking on
  "Test
        Connection" creates an orbtrc file.
    20. Orbtrc file is created when the Column Analysis is
  selected, after
        clicking on each of the tabs in Overview->Project
  Properties.

  Upgrade to Information Analyzer 8.5 Fix Pack 2, or 8.7.

• Generic Threading problem in various areas of the product due to
  the switch over to using .Net4.
