JR39542: The Data Rule function "is_date" is not validating correctly

APAR status

Error description

• Using the is_date function in a IA rule does not output the
  correct result.
  
  is_date function does not validate for a correct date
  
  1. Create a rule definition
  2. In the rule logic enter "32/01/2010" for "Source Data" and
  select "is_date" for "Type Of Check"
  3. Do not select any bindings
  4. Click "Test"
  5. Click on "View Results"
  
  Result : You should see 1 record has met the rule
  
  Expected : None of the records should meet the rule.
  
  Try Changing the Source Data to below value
  a. 10/32/2011
  b. 32/10/2011
  c. 13/13/2011
  
  Result:- the is_date function does not validate for a correct
  date
