APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A job containing a UserVariable stage ended up in a state where
  you could no longer view or change its properties.  Examination
  of the DSX showed that in the BEGIN DSRECORD for the
  UserVariable stage, there was a BEGIN DSSUBRECORD that only
  contained a ValueType "0" and the END DSSUBRECORD.
  

Local fix

• Manual editing of the DSX to remove the DSSUBRECORD section of
  the UserVariable stage that only contains the string ValueType
  "0" and no other sttributes will allow continued editing of the
  UserVariable stage.
  

Problem summary

• Customers using Job Sequnece User Variables Activity Stages
  It is possible to enter a row in the list of UserVariables with
  an empty name value.
  Once that row had been saved the User Variables Activit stage
  editor can noi longer be opened.
  

Problem conclusion

• Fixed code to not allow a User Variable with an empty name value
  to be saved.
