APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Oracle Enterprise operator is enclosing the WHERE clause of the
  SQL query by parenthesis. If the last line of the WHERE clause
  is a comment line (begining by --), the closing parenthesis is
  added as part of the comment.
  This is causing an incorrect SQL query which produces the error:
  "ORA-00907: missing right parenthesis"
  

Local fix

• Remove comment line the SQL query or add a cariage return after
  the last comment line.
  

Problem summary

• Oracle EE stage is inserting parentheses around the user
  WHERE clause statement.
  If a line comment was included in the user
  WHERE clause, the closing parenthesis was commented out.
  

Problem conclusion

• As of this fix, the Oracle EE stage is inserting a new-line
  before inserting the closing parenthesis. That way the line
  comment will not be inserted on the same line as the
  closing parenthesis.
