  • XMLOutput or any stages that use DSCAPI layer report character
conversion errors from UTF-8 to Unicode when LANG or LC_ALL is
set to JA_JP.UTF-8

  • Set LANG or LC_ALL to ja_JP.UTF-8

Problem summary

  • ERROR DESCRIPTION:
XMLOutput or any stages that use DSCAPI layer report character
conversion errors from UTF-8 to Unicode when LANG or LC_ALL is
set to JA_JP.UTF-8

Problem conclusion

  • As the lang in AIX platforms is "JA_JP.UTF-8" which is different
from "ja_JP.UTF-8", a condition to set the MAP name was not met.

Temporary fix

  • Set LANG or LC_ALL to ja_JP.UTF-8
