APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Business glossary viewing permissions feature is not working
correctly in IIS 8.5 for LDAP users.

When you restrict business glossary categories access to
specific users setup with Business Glossary Basic User &
Business Glossary User roles only (using viewing permissions
feature in business glossary). Then this usesr should have have
granted viewing permission BUT the category under consideration
is not visible to this users.

Local fix

  • Fix available in 8.1.2 Fix Pack 5

Saving welcome text on BGAdmin not working

Problem conclusion

  • Install patch JR39083 to resolve this issue. Fix has been made
to allow permissions to work in LDAP environment.
Saved welcome text in BGAdmin working properly. Please note that
this patch should be installed again after upgrading to 8.5 FP1

Customers using the oracle repository must execute the following
sql commands on the repository:

1)grant create trigger to schema_name;
2)grant create procedure to schema_name;
3)grant administer database trigger to schema_name;
