Error description

  • Steps to reproduce issue:
    1. Created parallel job in DataStage (DS) Designer client.
    2. Move sequential file stage to canvas
    3. Double-click stage to access properties.
    4. Click Columns tab
    5. Click Load button and table def to load.
    6. Select table definitions and click OK.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Use of multiple queries to determine whether table definition
    has an associated shared table definition performs poorly when
    project uses large numbers of shared table definitions.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Refactored code to use a single query to gather details of all
    table definitions in project and their associated shared table
    definitions.
    Request patch JR41470 for this fix.
