JR38576: STORED PROCEDURE STAGE CONNECTING TO DB2 TRUNCATES INTEGER DATA TO 8 DIGITS

APAR status

Error description

  • Stored Procedure truncates integer values after 8 digits. The
    output for an integer value "2147483647" used to be "21474836".
    Now the output will be "2147483647
    

Local fix

  • Changing the field to bigint or char allows the data to be
    processed correctly
    

Problem summary

  • Stored Procedure stage truncates integer data to 8 digits. The
    issue is present while connecting to DB2 and ODBC. Other
    Connectivity methods like Oracle, Sybase and teradata do not
    have this problem.
    

Problem conclusion

  • STP now transfers the maximum possible values of integer
    connecting to all databases not only DB2.
