Error description

  • Encrypted parameters can be displayed in the log using certain
    commands and ExecSH. Customer requestes to hide passwords with
    "*" in both command line and output shown in the log.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Encrypted job parameters can be displayed in the log using
    certain commmands and ExecSH. Customer requests that we hide
    passwords with "*" in both command line and output shown in the
    log.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The fix extends existing masking in 7.5.3 / 8.5 releases to
    cover the log output. As with the existing masking, it will mask
    anything which looks like a decrypted job parameter
