APAR status

• Closed as new function.

Error description

• The new Start mode of Auto will check for the existence of log
  table and then use the option of restart. If the log table does
  not exist, then the start mode will be clean.
  

Local fix

• Use a job parameter for Startup Mode.
  Design a job sequence with a routine to check for
  the existence of the log tables and set the job parameter
  accordingly. Clean - log table does not exists.
  Restart - log table does exists.
  

Problem summary

• A new option for the Start mode was added called, "auto". If a
  job stops prematurely, the job automatically restarts if any row
  entry exists in the log. To enable this option, select
  "auto" for the Start mode.
  DETAILS:
  
    Teradata Connector supports clean and restart as start modes.
  This requirement automatically takes care about switching on to
  the appropriate property depending on LOG table in the database.
  

Problem conclusion

• RESOLUTION:
    There will be a new option 'auto' for start mode. This is
  added along with 'clean' and 'restart'.
    Teradata Connector will check if the job is aborted
  prematurely by verifying the log table and if any row entry
  exists it restarts with restart mode rather than clean mode.
