Error description

• When the connector is configured to run in Insert then update
  write mode, the amount of heap memory consumed by the job
  process increases as the number of rows written to the database
  is increasing.

  DataStage users who are utilizing Oracle Connector stage to
  insert and update rows to the Oracle database

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  Oracle Connector stage is used in Insert then update write mode.
  
  As the number of records on the input link of the stage
  increases, the amount of the allocated memory on the heap
  increases as well.
  
  For a large number of records the memory leak results in an
  error once the job process has run out of all available memory.

  RECOMMENDATION:
  Install patch JR38234.

Problem conclusion

• The connector code was fixed to free temporary Oracle OCI error
  handles which the stage was allocating while inspecting error
  codes associated with the rows that could not be written to the
  database.
