JR37952: JOBS TERMINATE ABNORMALLY WITH CORE DUMP WHEN BCPLOAD PLUGIN STAGE IS CONNECTING TO SYBASE ASE VERSION 15 WITH OCS 15 CLIENT.

 

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • BCP connection to Sybase ASE 15 with OCS 15 causes jobs
terminate abnormally with core dump. Jobs work fine when
BCP connects to Sybase ASE12.5 with OCS 12.5. The abnormal
termination happens because BCP is not supported with Sybase 15.
Certification of BCP with Sybase 15 makes jobs to work
noramally.

Local fix

  • None - apart from continue to use Sybase 12.5 Open Client

Problem summary

  • BCP stage jobs abnormally terminate with core dump
when using Sybase 15 client. Support for OCS-15.0 with BCPload
has been provided.

Problem conclusion

  • BCPload plugin support with OCS-15.0 has been added by changing
versions used to 15 client.
