JR37533: IS 8.1 & 64 BIT DS, DEVICE NUMBERS FOR DIFFERENT FILE SYSTEMS ARE THE SAME CAUSING FILE HEADER CORRUPTION

Error description

• Information Server 8.1 on AIX 64 bit has an issue where it is
  using the smae device number for different file systems. The
  device number should be unique for each filesystem. This is
  causing file header corruption.  Since 2 files can be open in
  T30 witht he same device and inode number, when the last file is
  closed, it's header is written out to BOTH files causing header
  corruption of one of the files.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  Corruption of DataStage dynamic files can occur in the following
  environment with versions 8.1 and 8.1 fix pack 1 on AIX and
  Solaris.  When projects are located on multiple drives in which
  the device minor number is identical, the possibility exists
  for corruption if two dynamic files with the same inode number
  in different projects are opened around the same time.

  Patch available for 8.1.0.1 AIX.
