JR37250: A JOB THAT CONTAINS DB2 API READ STAGE IN PARALLEL JOB CAN FAIL WITH SIGSEV ERROR IF THE COLUMN LENGHT IS TOO SHORT

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A Job that contains DB2 API read stage in parallel job can fail
  with SIGSEV error if the column lenght is defined too short in
  datastage.
  
  Typically job should produce this type of warning if the
  database and Datastage column lengths do not match e.g. if
  database has column X defined as CHAR(6) and DataStage has the
  length specified as 4:
  
  The size specified for column 'X' (4) is less than that of the
  source table column (6);data truncation may result.
  

Local fix

• setting DS_NO_DB2CLI_WARNINGS=1 environment variable might
  resolve the issue.

Problem conclusion

• Modified the arguments passed to the function. Issue is now
  fixed.
