APAR status

Error description

  • Invalid character(s) ([xA2]) found converting string (code
    point(s): Fatal: A transcoding exception occurred in row:
    "HPC[x1A][x01]05ADH598696908", "INSURED ...) from codepage
    UTF-8 to Unicode, substituting.
    

Local fix

  • The user has to install JR37209 patch and set the environment
    variable XML_LANG to TRUE(in caps) to process western european
    data(ISO-8859-1) in XML Output Stage.
    

Problem summary

  • XML Output Stage problems.
    1.Throws a transcoding exception while generating XML document.
    2.Generated garbled data while processing ISO-8859-1 data.
    

Problem conclusion

  • By default,XML Output Stage process data in UTF-8.In order to
    process ISO-8859-1 data the user has to set the environment
    variable XML_LANG to TRUE(in caps).
