JR36946: INCORRECT WARNING MESSAGE FROM STORED PROCEDURE STAGE WHEN EOD IN TRANSFORM MODE USED FOR ORACLE.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When STP-Oracle job is used to extract rows from Oracle and the
  procedure type is set to Transform, an incorrect warning with
  row information is being logged to the director log at the end
  of the last row. Since the procedure has been executed
  successfully, there shouldn't be any warning message logged.
  

Local fix

• Use procedure type of Source.

  USERS AFFECTED:
  All users of Stored Procedure Stage with Oracle as DBVendor and
  using a transform mode STP stage to read from data from Oracle
  database.
  ****************************************************************
  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  An incorrect warning message is issued at the end of the
  execution of the stored procedure while using Oracle as DBVendor
  option and using EOD (end of data) in transform mode.
  
  The warning message will be as follows:
  pmr29902_STP..Stored_Procedure_0: The value of the row is:
  DEPTNO = 1 DEPT_NAME = OPERATIONS

  RECOMMENDATION:
  Apply the APAR JR37006 which supersedes this patch.

Problem conclusion

• The return of EOD row returns -1 as OCIStatus and this was
  incorrectly treated as a warning and hence the message with last
  row values are printed in Warning log.
  
  This has been corrected.
