JR36825: MQ CONNECTOR LOOPS IF FIELD IS VARCHAR WITH NO SIZE AND EOL AS ROW TERMINATOR IS YES

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• MQ connector when reading a message in server mode, goes in
  infinite loop if the EOL as row terminator is set to YES and
  field is varchar without a size.
  

Local fix

• specify a size for the varchar field.

  When users set the MQ connector stage property "Treat EOL as
  row terminator" to Yes for source stage and the payload column
  length is not set explicitly, the job looks frozen or producing
  too many output records.

  Apply the patch.

Problem conclusion

• There is a program error with length handling when "Treat EOL
  as row terminator" is set. A patch is created to fix the code
  to handle the undefined length correctly.
  

Temporary fix

• Specify length for the payload column when you use "Treat EOL
  as row terminator" property.
