JR36589: DB2 CONNECTOR LOADING TO REMOTE DATABASE TABLE WITH LOAD PENDING STATE DOES NOT ABORT.

Error description

• A DB2 Connector loading to database in a Load Pending state is
  expected to fail with following error:
  
     Item #: 187
     Event ID: 186
     Timestamp: 2010-04-24 13:29:57
     Type: Fatal
     User Name: dsadm
     Message Id: IIS-CONN-NGBR-00002
     Message: DB2_Connector_0,0: [IIS-CONN-DB2-000315] An error
  occurred while loading the table.
  (CC_DB2APILoadRecordDataSetConsumer::prepare, file
  CC_DB2APILoadRecordDataSetConsumer.cpp, line 1,367)
  
  with corresponding SQL error SQL0668N.
  
  Instead, the job hangs.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• ****************************************************************
  USERS AFFECTED:
  DB2 Connector using Bulkload method on Unix
  ****************************************************************
  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  DB2 Connector is hanging when loading with named pipe and when
  database is in LOAD PENDING status.
  Expected behavior is getting -668 error and abort the job.
  
  ****************************************************************
  RECOMMENDATION:
  Apply the patch for JR36589.
  
  ****************************************************************
  

Problem conclusion

• We only see this problem on Unix environment using named pipe,
  and only when target database is in remote server.
  The reason is that db2Load is not returning exception in above
  situation, and connector will try to open pipe as it seems like
  Load launched successfully.
  DB2 Connector will check the error even db2Load is not returning
  exception, so that
  it will not try to open pipe in this situation.
