Error description

• Oracle EE imports and exports Oracle and DataStage numeric types
  differently depending on the version of the stage. Because of
  this difference, some jobs fail to run if they depend upon old
  behavior. Specifically, the Change Capture stage does not
  support matching types from different Datastage Numeric types.

Problem conclusion

• We have implemented a new environment variable
  APT_ORA_NUMBER_AS_INT, which, if defined, will revert
  behavior of numeric type to previous. By default, at the time
  this APAR was created, the Oracle EE stage imports NUMBER(N) as
  DECIMAL(N) which is correct behavior. If APT_ORA_NUMBER_AS_INT
  environment variable is defined, then NUMBER(N) will import as
  DataStage int64 if N = 10 and DataStage int32 if N < 10.
