APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Jobs using ODBC Enterprise stage connecting to dBase which
  contain a CHAR field in their schema abort with "Message:
  main_program: Driver doesn't support the datatype. DataType Code
  = 12" error message, when write is performed with create/replace
  table  functionality.
  

Local fix

• Provide the user defined create table statement in the ODBC EE
  stage properties

  ODBC EE job containing a char field connecting to
  dBase/FoxPro/Clipper databases fails with unsupported datatype
  error message in a write job with create/replace table action

  RECOMMENDATION:
  Apply this APAR.

Problem conclusion

• dBase/FoxPro/Clipper databases does not support VARCHAR. Treat
  them as CHARs only.
