• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Job hang sin preparation stage, waiting for sort file like
  "/tmp/sort41174aa".
  

Local fix

• Script provided to customer to detete hanging dsapi_slave, if
  found, truss the pid, if hang on missing sort file, create the
  sort file to let the job finish.
  
  This fix is included in 8.0.1 fixpack 3

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  On heavily loaded systems, running multiple simultaneous large
  sorts, a hang could occur.  Attaching to the hung process would
  show that a sort merge is in progress and the temporarily
  created file that is required for merge, does not exist in
  UVTEMP.
  ****************************************************************
  RECOMMENDATION:
  Upgrade to  patch release for AIX 7.5.2.
  ****************************************************************
  

Problem conclusion

• Enhance the naming convention for temporary sort files that are
  created to ensure that they are unique and could not be created
  or used by multiple processes.
