APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When trying to deploy a service in ISD with JMS Over Text
  binding and using a listener port, deployment fails with error
  message like the following:
  
  [!] Validation failed with the following errors:
  
      In application 'TestApp', service 'TestService',
  operation 'TestOperation', binding Text Over JMS: The input
  destination 'JMSDestination' could not be located.
  
  The code attempts to validate that the destination name is a
  valid JNDI name, which is not valid with a listener port.
  

Local fix

• Create a fake queue with a JNDI name matching the listener
  port name to get past the ISD validation and allow deployment of
  the service.
  

Problem summary

  Anyone using the Text over JMS or SOAP over JMS and WebSphere
  Listener Ports.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  After setting the input destination of a Text over JMS or SOAP
  over JMS binding to the name of a Listener Port, the associated
  ISD application will not deploy.

  RECOMMENDATION:
  Upgrade to version 8.1 FixPack 2
  ****************************************************************
  

Problem conclusion

• The Listener Port does not exist in the JNDI namespace and
  therefore validation of it fails.  The code will be fixed to not
  check for the Input Destination being in the JNDI namespace.
  The fix will be included in version 8.1 FixPack 2.
