JR34550: CHANGE THE SDKSEQUENCES FILE CREATION TO TYPE 30 FILES.

APAR status

• Closed as new function.

Error description

• The default SDKSequences file creation is Type 2.  If
  this file grows very big and it becomes poorly sized, it
  will cause big performance issue for the job.  Please change the
  SDKSequences file creation to Type 30 instead of Type 2.
  

Local fix

• Resize the SDKSequences file to Dynamic file.
  

Problem summary

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  SDKSequences is created by a CREATE.FILE 2 1 1 command so that
  the SDK
  routines perform badly when large numbers of sequence names are
  used.

  RECOMMENDATION:
  Apply patch JR34550.
  ****************************************************************
  

Problem conclusion

• Changed the SDKSequences file to be DYNAMIC.
  *** NOTE: this patch changes the installed binary code of 2
  DataStage
      routines, it cannot change the source for those routines.
