APAR status

• Closed as change to accomodate OEM Vendor's code.

Error description

• New zOSFile stage and Complex file stage enhancement is
  implemented in order to access files resides on z/OS. This
  patch include patch for client and server.
  

Local fix

• New zOSFile stage is created and enhancement of PxCFF stage is
  done to use field_import and field_export operator.
  

Problem summary

  USERS AFFECTED:
  Users use Information server 81.
  ****************************************************************
  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  Cannot access mainfraime data directly using Information server
  81.
  The customer wanted to process data directly on mainframe
  machine using Information server.
  ****************************************************************
  RECOMMENDATION:
  Users can install the patch for JR34291 to solve Mainframe Fix
  pack issue.
  ****************************************************************
  

Problem conclusion

• The fix was packed into a package for Informationserver 81 GA
  version.
  A new stage PxZOSFile was created with some modification for
  PxCFF stage as Column Importer/exporter.
  The new PxzOSFile stage can link to PxCFF stage to split the
  stream read from PxZOSFile stage into columns.
  PxZOSFile stage get data from ClassicFed server and the
  ClassicFed server access mainframe file directly
  on the mainframe machine.
