JR34075: DATASTAGE 7.5.2 GENERATES OSH INCORRECTLY, USING STRING DSCAPIOP__DBNAME INSTEAD OF VALUE OF JOB PARAMETER DBNAME

Error description

• The DataStage 7.5.2 client incorrectly generates osh for job
  parameter values under certain conditions.  For example, when
  stage variable has been set to the value of job parameter named
  "DBNAME" by placing "#$DBNAME# in field, the osh code generated
  for that field is in the following format:
     SERVER=\'\#DSCAPIOP__EDW_DB_NM\#\'
  instead of one of several correct formats.  As a result, even
  though the job has correctly resolved value of $DBNAME, the
  value which is sent to data source for that field is
     #DSCAPIOP__EDW_DB_NM#
  resulting in various "invalid argument" errors from data source.

  The same job compiles ok with 7.5.1 client.  This problem has
  been observed in multiple scenarios including:
   -- When passing parameters for a database stage into a shared
      container for Parallel / PX jobs
   -- When passing parameters for database name to stage which
      are retrieved from project using default value $PROJDEF
