Error description

  • Text from ecase 120507:
The substring function [] fails in 7.5.2 when there is a
negative value in the result. The help shows that it would
return a value 0 if the substring results in negative or zero
    value.
The 7.1 version behaves correctly but 7.5.2 gives
compilation errors. Also during runtime when there are
    variables assigned and
if the value is zero then segment violation errors occur.

    The exact error is: ##E IIS-DSEE-TFFN-00005 16:00:13(009)
    <transform> Error
when checking composite operator: The argument value in
    function substring_1,
[line 23, character 47], is less than the lower limit of 0.

Job that demonstrates problem is in testcase directory.
