JR33462: CANNOT CHANGE ORACLE ENTERPRISE STAGE AFTER DATA CONNECTION APPLIED WITHOUT LOSING CONNECTION INFO

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When anything is changed in Oracle Enterprise stage that already
  has the data connection applied to it the developer is presented
  with a prompt:
  
  Do you want to remove the reference to Data Connection
  'data_conn_name' for properties: 'password'?
  
  If the developer chooses No then all of their changes are lost;
  if they choose Yes then it removes the password parameter and
  the data connection must be reapplied.

• This fix is included in 8.0.1 fix pack 3

  become corrupted when persisted.

Problem conclusion

• The fix ensures encrypted parameters are handled correctly - to
  use the patch, users will first need to clear the existing data
  connections for any input links, before attempting to reload.
