APAR status

Error description

  • Require to disable the Tools\Designer (from Director) and the
Tools\Director (From Designer) via a registry key.

This function will allow Citrix CPS 4.0 to correctly count and
restrict the number of IS801 clients that are open on the Citrix
CPS 4.0 server, therefore preventing an unstable Citrix CPS 4.0
environment

Local fix

  • Rename IS801 client executables


This fix is included in 8.0.1 fix pack 3

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Requirement to disable the Tools\Designer (from Director) and
the Tools\Director (From Designer) menu options via a registry
key.

RECOMMENDATION:
Install the patch to allow these menu options to be disabled.
This change is included in 8.1 Fix Pack 1.

Problem conclusion

  • Menu options can now be disabled using a registry key
(HKLM\SOFTWARE\IBM\InformationServer\DataStage
Client\AllowDesignerDirectorLaunch)
