APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Datastage 7.5.x with DB2 9.1 (Fixpak 5 or higher) or DB2 9.5
  (Fixpak 2 or higher)
  which have jobs with DB2 Enterprise Stage and Stage Properties
  with USE DEFAULT SERVER=TRUE - jobs will fail with the
  following error:
  
     Item #: 15
     Event ID: 14
     Timestamp: 2009-05-01 21:38:49
     Type: Fatal
     User Name: as00039
     Message: TCMC,0: The environment variable DB2INSTANCE, which
  specifies the
  default DB2 instance to connect to, is not set;
  either set this variable or use the -server <db2instance>
  option.
  

Local fix

• At the moment, the solution is to update these jobs to USE
  DEFAULT
  SERVER = FALSE and manually set the instances.
  

Problem summary

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  DB2 EE jobs having Default Server = true fail to connect to

  Install patch_JR32948
