Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
All unix platforms will not be able to display source code for
    built-in routines correctly
    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Routine source code for built-in routines will not display
correctly for Unix systems. Also, long descriptions for
built-in objects will not display multiple lines correctly.
         This is caused because
the built-in objects are being created with the wrong line
termination characters on a unix system.
    ****************************************************************
    RECOMMENDATION:
    Install patch_JR32634_client_windows_81
This change is included in 8.1 FP1
    ****************************************************************

Problem conclusion

  • Client patch created for 8.1 - editors for Data Elements,
Routines, Table Definitions and Transforms will check for unix
line terminators and, if present, change them to DOS line
     terminators.

A further fix will be done in a later release to ensure that
thecorrect line termination characters are used when the
    built-in objects are created.
