JR32301: UNABLE TO RECOMPILE DATASTAGE JOB AFTER CHANGING METADAT, ERRORS WITH "MAPPING FAILED TO COPY ATTRIBUTES: JOBDEFN -> DSJOBDEFN

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After making metadata changes to job, unable to recompile,
  process errors with "Mapping failed to copy attributes: JobDefn
  -> DSJobDefn (EObject: c2e76d84.......)
  
  After this error, they cannot save the job, it's totally
  corrupt. Customer has to delete and start from scratch.

Problem summary

  USERS AFFECTED:
  a Job in Designer can cause an exception to be generated, after
  renaming an output column and removing the     column derivation
  from the associated stage.
  ****************************************************************
  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  Attempting to save a Job after renaming an output column and
  then removing the associated stage column derivation will cause
  an error dialog to be displayed. The message displayed will be
  similar to the following: - 'Mapping failed to copy attributes:
  JobDefn -> DSJobDefn (EObject: c2e76d84.......)'.

  RECOMMENDATION:
  Apply patch JR32301v2.
  This change is included in 8.1 Fix Pack 1.
  ****************************************************************
  

Problem conclusion

• Modified the referencer logic to ensure that when an attempt is
  made to set references a check is first performed to determine
  whether the object is contained within the list of objects
  marked for delete. If this is found to be the case the object
  isnow removed so that it can no longer be used.
  
  There is no change that the customer is required to make, apart
  from patch installation.
