JR32034: FTP ENTERPRISE STAGE REPORTS ERROR "425 CAN'T OPEN PASSIVE CONNECTION" WHEN CONNECTING TO A TARGET MAINFRAME.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• FTP Enterprise stage reports error "425 Can't open passive
  connection" when connecting to a target mainframe.
  Customer can't use  one of the built in stages,  having to use
  hand written shell
  scripts instead.
  Appears to be that the FTP client is attempting to default to
  passive mode and triggers a fatal abort on the error message
  "425 Can't open passive connection".
  

Local fix

• JR30705   available but need to respin for Linux.
