JR31891: UPDATING SHARED METADATA AFTER MAKING CHANGES TO THE DEFINITIONS USING SHARED TABLE DEF WIZARD IS NOT WORKING.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Make changes to a Table definition that has already existing
  shared meta
  data.
  Try to relink using the Shared Table creation Wizard.
  On the 2nd page, where it offers the action "linking", you can
  right-click on that column and get a subsidiary menu that has a
  "Modify
  action / Overwrite" as an alternative to linking.
  It does not always seem to maintain the links between the
  TableDefinition and the Shared Table in both directions.
  When I go to other tools to see the updated shared table I do
  not see
  the changes made to the Table definition in Data Stage.
