JR31804: PARALLEL JOB CONTAINING A REFERENCE MATCH STAGE ABORTS WITH A SINGLE FATAL MESSAGE: "MATJOINOP OBJECT ERROR, CODE 1"

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The parallel job contains a QualityStage reference match stage.
  The job aborts with a single fatal error message coming from the
  reference match stage: "MatJoinOp object error, code 1".  We
  narrowed this down to situations where the partitioning of the
  input datasets is not identical to the partitioning of the
  current job. The correct behavior should be that the job should
  repartition without error, however the job fails with the
  above error message.  This problem is occurring on Windows 2003
  with Information Server 8.0.1 and fix pack 1 installed (though
  it has been reproduced on other platforms as well.)
  

Local fix

• Alter the jobs that produce the data sets so that the
  partitioning is idential as to the reference match job.

Problem conclusion

• Provided a patch that will make the job repartition properly on
  V801 FP1, for all platforms
