APAR status

  • Closed as requirement.

Error description

  • The XML Input stage is unable to process XML documents when any
of the output columns are of decimal type. The result of running
the job is that a warning is issued to the job log for each
decimal column, and the stage produces zero output rows. This
problem appears to occur only on the AIX operating system. When
the exact same job design and input data are used on Redhat or
Windows, the job runs to completion with no warnings and
    produces the correct output rows.

Local fix

  • Datatypes can be defined as character to bypass and access the
data, however this is an extremely limited workaround since the
proper datatype handling will not take place.
