• DataStage jobs occasionally reported fatal errors about "Error
  updating ORCHESTRATE File Dataset descriptor" but job still
  finished successfully

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  Parallel job could encounter fatal errors accessing file sets
  ordata sets, but report that the job finished successfully.

  RECOMMENDATION:
  Install patch for JR31311
  This change is included in 8.1 Fix Pack 1.

Problem conclusion

• In certain failure situations the error code was not correctly
  propagated back up to the job level.  This has been corrected.
