JR31155: THE DSJOB COMMAND REQUIRES USER CREDENTIALS WHEN THE DSRPCD IS CONFIGURED FOR A NON-DEFAULT PORT.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When running dsjob on the DataStage Server system, it should be
  possible to specify the DSEngine port number without having to
  enter all of the authentication details.
  
  In the following command syntax:
  
  dsjob -server hostname:portnumber
  
  the hostname can be omitted when it is the local system, so the
  following (and similar) commands should work for release 8.1
  as they already do in release 7.5.X without having to specify
  the domain or user credentials when executed on the same system
  as the DSEngine server:
  
  dsjob -server :31539 -lprojects
  dsjob -server :31539 -ljobs project
  

Local fix

• There is no workaround at this time for release 8 other than to
  configure release 7 to utilize a non-default dsrpc port and use
  release 8 on the default port if there is a requirement to use
  both on the same system.

Problem conclusion

• Fixed dsjob command line syntax so that  "dsjob -server :portno
  -options" will connect to the DataStage server on the local
  system using the specified dsrpc portno
