APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Importing Standardization Rules into a Protected Project fails
  when using the Admin userid with a message No Objects Found
  To Import.  This should work for Admin user.  Work around
  is to use Production Manager Role User.

• Use Production Manager Role DS userid to import
  Standardization Roles
  

Problem summary

  USERS AFFECTED:
  Customers who wish to use administrative users to manage
  protected projects
  ****************************************************************
  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  When connecting to a DataStage protected project as an
  administrative user, the following problems will be observed:
        1. It will not be
  possible to re-import objects from the       Designer client
            2. It will not be
  possible to import objects using the dsimport command line tool
            3. It will not be
  possible to delete jobs from the Director     client
  ****************************************************************
  RECOMMENDATION:
  Workaround is to create a user and assign the Production
  Managerrole to this user. If customers have a requirement to use
  an    administrative user to manage their protected projects,
  then a patch will be required.
  This change is included in 8.1 FP1

Problem conclusion

• Added check for admin user role as well as production manager
  user role. This means that admin users will have the same
  abilities as users who have been assigned the Production
  Managerrole.
  
       Provided as a patch for release 8.0.1 FP1.
