  The following scenario results in 2 synonyms in the repository,
  one with references to the deleted items.
  
  This is the exact scenario:
  1) In BG create terms A, B.
  2) Set the synonym of A to be B. This sets SynonymGroup name to
  "A".
  3) With C&T MB Export the glossary
  4) in BG unset the synonym relationship of A
  5) In BG set the synonym of B to be A. This sets SynonymGroup
  name to "B".
  6) Reimport the export from step 3.
  7) Open term A and remove its synonym B. This unsets the
  reference between B and the synonym it is referencing (but does
  not unset ref. from/to A)
  8) Delete term B
  9) Delete term A
  10) Delete category
  
  Then you'll have 2 synonyms in repository, one with references
  to the deleted terms.
