JR30183: APAR TO CREATE ENV VAR TO SUPPRESS WARNINGS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• We have suppressed the warning message from within the Teradata
  EE code.
  Implemented this using an environment variable.
  
  The default behavior is that the warning message will be present
  it the case reported by the customer.(passing a null value to
  the timestamp field that is defined as nullable)
  If the Customer wants the warning message to be suppressed then
  the environment variable " APT_TERA_SUPPRESS_TIMESTAMP_WARNING"
  has to be set
  
  e.g APT_TERA_SUPPRESS_TIMESTAMP_WARNING=1 in the Project level
  properties.

Local fix

Problem summary

  USERS AFFECTED:
  Teradata EE for Information Server 8.0.1 for AIX
  ****************************************************************
  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  Teradata EE job in read mode, warning messages are encountered
  when we have NULL values in the timestamp field.
  ****************************************************************
  RECOMMENDATION:
  This fix is included in Information Server 81 Fix Pack 1. So,
  installing the patch & IS 8.1 FP1 should fix the issue.
  ****************************************************************
  

Problem conclusion

• This issue is fixed for Teradata EE 8.0.1.
  Set the environment variable
  APT_TERA_SUPPRESS_TIMESTAMP_WARNING=1 to suppress the warning
  messages.
