APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Attribute based security is only processing the first 256
    characters of an attribute.
    If the attribute contains more than 256 characters then those
    values will be truncated.
    This will cause Lifecycle Service to fail when it tries to set
    security.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Security actions failed when Name field values exceeded 256
    characters
    The Name field of the Security Actions Definitions window
    supported only 256 characters.
    With the fix of this APAR, the number of characters that is
    supported is 2048.
    If the number of characters in the Name field exceeds
    2048, the security action will fail.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The fix is available DB2 Document Manager v8.4 fix pack 2.
