APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If customer has DM Desktop open with search results, and another
user checkins a document, document retrieved from original
search result will not always be the latest version.

Check Out properly retrieves the latest version regardless of
the results listed in the search table.

However, copy and view does not.  It retrieves the version that
is on the search table.

Local fix

  • Refresh the search results, then click on the document to
perform action.

Problem summary

  • When a document was viewed or copied from a list of search
results that was obtained before a newer version of the document
was checked in, the Desktop retrieved the older version instead
of the latest version. Now, the latest version is retrieved when
a document is viewed or copied from old search results.

Problem conclusion

  • The fix is available in DB2 Document Manager v8.3 Fix Pack 10.
