Error description

  • right clicking on an xml component from a view will always show
the component manager menu item. This is not configurable and
allows anyone to enter into the component manager.

Problem summary

  • Access to Component Manager command from an XML component could
not be restricted
All users were able to access the Component Manager command by
right-clicking on an XML component, and access restrictions to
the command could not be configured.

Problem conclusion

  • The fix is available in DB2 Document Manager V8.3 Fix Pack 9.
