PK66874: ENABLE RESOURCE BUNDLE CACHING IN WCM TO IMPROVE PERFORMANCE. DUE TO A JVM ISSUE,THE LOADING OF RESOURCE BUNDLES SLOW.

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The WCM method contributing to overall performance:

    com.aptrix.util.ResourceBundleUtils.getFormattedString()
    consumes a large portion (20%) of the CPU usage per page.

    The reason for the high CPU usage is the Resource Bundle trying
    to get the Class Context while getting the Class Loader.

    Looking for the following solution:

    Enable resource bundle caching in WCM to improve performance.
    Due to a JVM issue, the loading of resource bundles is slow.
    and contributing to CPU cycles consuption upto 20%. These
    bundles can be cached for improved performance.
