PK58634: OVER SIZELIMIT IMAGE SHOW UP ON THE UI AFTER FAIL SAVING CONTENT

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Problem1:
  Set the min and max size for the image component(or file resouce
  component) in the authoring template, then try to upload an
  image which is larger than the max size, content won't be saved
  due to the over size exception, but user still able to see the
  name of the image in the UI with the delete button.
  
  Problem2:
  If user fill the "Upload an image file" field in the UI and then
  try to click "delete" button to delete the previous image, the
  UI will indicate that the new image(which specified in the
  "Upload an image file" field) get deleted.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• For problem1, the original resource is not back up before
  setting the new resources..
  For problem2, the upload image field is not cleared before
  sending the request to the server.
  

Problem conclusion

• For problem1, call unsetResoucecmpt before setting the new
  resource to back up the original one. If the image is not valid,
  then UI can easily change back to the old resource.
  For problem2, using javascript to clear the field before send
  the request to the server.
